The Business Forum operates the city centre management initiative for the city. It is a company limited by guarantee and is funded by nine core funders from the business community and Brighton & Hove Council.
The Business Forum operates a number of schemes designed to make Brighton & Hove a better place to live, work and visit including the Business Crime Reduction Partnership, the Christmas Campaign and Anti Graffiti Strategy. It also manages the Business in Regeneration (BiR) capacity-building project working with small business associations, and the Mentor pilot project offering peripatetic HR support to independent retailers and hoteliers. It represents the business community on the Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT), Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership and the Regeneration Partnership.
